Christmas should be a time filled with celebration and rejoice. A time of the year we exchange gifts, and get together with those that we love. To some it’s a time of the year where going to the mall is the last place they would rather be. I found some very useful tips at the Christmas Stress Blog to help me prepare and organize a day of Christmas shopping.
If you know someone who loves breakfast and you’re looking for something truly unique to give, look no further than Best Gifts Online. The site has come up with a selection of bacon-themed gift items that are sure to bring a smile to your special someone’s face. Some items are edible, but others just offer the look of bacon without the grease!
When you’re totally lost and have no idea what to get for someone, it can be difficult to wrack your brain to find the absolute perfect Christmas gift. Maybe it’s your in-laws, who seem to already have one of everything or have a penchant for returning anything you do give them. Or grandparents who simply don’t need any more “stuff.” Or someone that you don’t know quite well enough to have a good idea of what they’d be interested in.
A personalized family Christmas ornament is my “go-to” gift when I simply can’t think of anything someone needs. I can personalize the ornament with the names of everyone in the family and the year, and they have a beautiful keepsake to hang on their tree every year. And best of all, it’s unbelievably easy to give. You can buy ornaments like these at mall kiosks, but for me, it’s much easier to go online and order them and have them delivered right to my door. No traffic and no crowds!
What I like best about personalized gifts is that they always looks thoughtful because they have the person’s name on them and show that I bought this gift especially for them. And if a family ornament doesn’t seem right for that particular gift recipient, there is probably at least one ornament out there that they would love, or another kind of personalized gift like a shirt or a wallhanging.
Here are some of my favorite sites to find personalized gifts:
Personalized Christmas Ornaments from Santa’s Ornament Shop
Personalized Glassware, Picture Frames & Clothing from Personalization Mall
Personalized Toys, Wall Décor, Frames, Clothing & more from Gifts.com
For the person with a taste for the unconventional, this video provides some unique, eco-friendly gift ideas. Some are unique, and others might make you wonder who comes up with this stuff, but all are eco-friendly and use recycled materials.
No gift is more unique than one with someone’s name on it. Taking the time to have something personalized makes it much more thoughtful than it would be if it was just plain, because suddenly it’s theirs and theirs alone. You can take one thing off your gift list for each of your children each year by starting a Christmas ornament tradition. Basically, you buy a special ornament each year, starting with the baby’s first Christmas ornament and continuing on until they leave the nest, and maybe even after that if you’re so inclined, and you end up chronicling their lives one year at a time. To find out more on starting your own ornament tradition, go to the Christmas Tree Decorating Blog.
If a lot of the people on your Christmas gift list already have much more “stuff” than they need, or if your family is trying to move away from the materialistic nature of the Christmas holiday season by changing gift-giving habits, you’ll want to give Oxfam Unwrapped a look. Available in both America and the United Kingdom, Oxfam Unwrapped allows you to buy gifts that will help people in third-world countries eat, have shelter, make a living, get an education, recover from a disaster, or stay healthy and safe. They have gifts available from $12 all the way up to $10,000 (for a house on stilts). Regardless of what you spend, you can buy these gifts knowing that they will be truly appreciated by the recipients.
This year, many people aren’t spending what they would usually spend on Christmas gifts. With the economy still in an unstable state, it makes many people uncomfortable to feel like they’re spending too much on holiday gifts. But stores who depend on the Christmas season to make up a lot of their earnings for the year need consumers to spend. What are they doing to encourage people to spend more money this Christmas? Find out what promotions stores will be running by checking out Best Gifts Online.
